HIDDEN FEATURES OF YOUTUBE 


 1. Set a reminder to take a break

Have you ever opened YouTube to view a new upload from one of your favourite creators and ended up spending an hour watching a giraffe dance or an explanation of the black hole? Even the best of us experience it. Set a reminder for when it's time to take a break or go to bed so that you won't let YouTube's clever algorithms ruin your day (and possibly your night) by luring you into watching more videos.Open YouTube on your phone.

Tap on your profile picture in the upper-right corner.

Open Settings.Select General.

Turn on the Remind me to take a break toggle and set a reminder frequency.Turn on the Remind me when it's bedtime toggle and add bedtime hours to show a reminder during the set time

.2. Pause YouTube search and watch history

YouTube shows video recommendations on the homepage based on your search and viewing history. Imagine your child or a visitor using your tablet or smart TV to access your YouTube account. Then you can pause your search and watch history while also protecting yourself from unrelated video recommendations.Open YouTube Settings on your phone (refer to the steps above).

Select History & privacy.

Turn on the Pause watch history and Pause search history toggles

3. Use restricted mode

You don't want your children to unintentionally come across inappropriate or adult stuff on YouTube. To conceal potentially mature films, enable YouTube's restricted mode.Open the General menu in YouTube Settings (check the steps above).

Turn on the Restricted Mode toggle 

YouTube automatically starts playing the following suggested video when autoplay is enabled. Use the instructions below to turn off suggested videos if you no longer want them to play automatically.Launch the YouTube Settings menu on your phone (refer to the steps above).

Open the Autoplay menu.

5. Create a GIF from a YouTube Video

Have you come upon a popular YouTube video that you wanted to turn into a GIF? Here's how to convert a YouTube video into a GIF so that it becomes popular on Twitter and Instagram.Open a YouTube video on the desktop.

Select the address bar and add GIF to the web URLCrop the video and then add a caption, padding, and blur. You can also use other editing tools from the left sidebar.

Select the start and edit time and press the Create Gif button in the upper-right corner.

Add GIF information, tags, watermark, or sound and click Next.

Share your GIF on social media handles or download it to send it over WhatsApp or Telegram

.6. Create a sharable link starting at a specific time

It's not necessary to request that the recipient transmit the YouTube video to a specific time. A YouTube link that starts at a certain time can be readily created.Visit YouTube on the web and play any video.

Select the Share button and enable the checkbox beside Start at.

Select the specific time from which the video should start at.

Click Copy and share the YouTube video.
